Can my multi-factor authentication methods be changed or reset?

Currence utilizes multiple different forms of multi-factor authentication (MFA) methods for logging in. These include SMS verification, biometrics, and recovery code.

SMS Verification

SMS verification involves sending a code to the mobile number associated with your account. You can manage and update your mobile number from the Currence app in the Account Profile under Security. If you are having trouble receiving the code to log in, please review this article.

Biometrics

Biometrics are a security feature that use your unique biological characteristics—like your face or fingerprints—to verify your identity. You can manage an update the biometrics associated with your account from the Currence app in the Account Profile under Security. If you are having trouble with your biometrics, please try removing your current biometrics by selecting the method and typing in your password to delete. The next time you log in, you will be prompted to add your biometrics associated with your device back.

Recovery Code

You are given a unique recovery code at account creation. This is used to recover your account in the event that you get a new device or phone number and can no longer log in using previous MFA methods. You can generate a new recovery code at any time from the Currence app in the Account Profile under Security.

If you are having trouble utilizing one or more of these MFA methods, contact Currence Support. When contacting Support regarding resetting or updating your MFA methods, it is important we understand what was attempted at login and when your last successful login was.
